Event Format
Depending on weather and trail conditions, this fast-hike will be tough to serious. If you are not sure about doing 50 miles, join us for the 32 mile loop.
50 mile fast-hike on mostly unpaved trails (hard sand, dirt). Scenic along High Line Canal, through Chatfield State Park etc..
Briefing,
Start, Finish, Get-Together are at Peaberry Coffee in King Soopers at SW corner
of Broadway and Mineral Av. in
Littleton/CO (see maps)
Staying together as a group – talking, joking, encouraging, …
Walking speed: On nice
trails 4 mi/hr. (15 min./mi.), on “bad trails”,
at the beach etc. somewhat
less. If you can't keep up anymore, be smart and stop, and maybe join the Team
again later. Someone not walking with the Team is not an event participant.

Participants will have to a sign a waiver before the start
No Aid Stations at Peaberry, Conoco/A&W and Panera (open Sa. 6a.m.-9:15 p.m.). At these stops you pay for what you buy.
At Panera no stops on loops 1 and 3.
The event will happen
in all weathers (be prepared - we may have wind, rain, snow and
ice)
With melting rain, wet
or melting snow etc. we may get wet feet. We may also have to cross some swampy
areas and running water. The water-crossing in South Platte Park is
optional. Anyway, bring a few more socks and maybe a second pair of shoes..
Course and schedule may change subject to weather, construction etc.
For
loop 2 (32 miles) you can bring a small drop bag, which will be accessible at aid
stations, maybe at Conoco/A&W and Panera.

1 & 3: 9 mi, Loop2: 32 mi. See maps. Do one, two or all three
Running/walking shoes (consider possibility of rain, mud, snow, ice, cold).

Food (for between aid stations)
