Rules |
Purpose of these rules is to reduce the risk
of accidents (fatalities) and to ensure that everybody can really enjoy this unique event.
- Each participant must have a personal crew with its own vehicle
- While walkers get everything at aid stations, crews please bring own food/drinks
- Crews can access points on the course outside of aid stations. In this case crews have
to provide assistance to all walkers and not just "their" walker.
- The organization is not responsible crews activities and relevant consequences
- Race directors may disqualify someone who stays too far behind or is no fit for the team
(will be discussed with the team)
- Participants have to stay together - for details see "Event Type"
- No one will be allowed to walk alone (e.g. if everybody else drops out).
Exceptions to be approved by race director
- Walking of single sections is not possible
- Crews may walk with the team from Alice over James Peak back to Alice, and then to the
finish in Georgetown - to be approved by race directors
- At the start and at aid stations team members will be asked if they have the necessary Equipment with them
- The course may change from the beginning or during the event - see "Bad Weather Alternatives"
- Traffic and environmental rules and laws apply
Exceptions to these rules have to be approved by race directors.
