Well here are my thoughts and what I thought about the Cafe to Cafe 100...I loved it!! Which kinda surprised me. I usually avoid city races and mostly do dirt trail races in the mountains or some place neat. But I wanted to do another 100 miler, April was a good time for me, Denver was 1/2 way close, and it was a walking ultra so I'll put up with a city non trail race.

Well, your race was so well organized and the aid was great and the people were fun and the course was really interesting, how could I have had anything but FUN!! Because I'm a slow runner I usually am alone most of the race at the back of the pack so the idea of staying in a pack was not my first choice. There would always be people around and what if I had to burp or something, I would have to be nice and use manners. But by now I should know that runners/walkers especially those who do ultras, who cares, whatever it takes to finish the race.

The group size was good, could have had a few more as long as they could keep the pace. I had no idea that Denver had soooo many miles of trail and rural trails at that. It was really neat to get to walk and talk to some new people. Everyone was special and just a little bit goofy (a good thing) and had neat stories. I'm not sure how you (Ulli) survived all those adventures you have had, I think a normal person would have got killed somehow. You should write a book.

I don't think there is anything you could do to improve the race. Everything I thought that wasn't what I usually do, turned out what made the race so much fun. I hope to join you again on another one. I know you have a few more stories to tell and I want to hear them. Thanks for the fun weekend.
